THE BIG NEWS
ALL THE BEST, HEROES!
I've to admit it. I'm really slow. I just got to know about the dragon boaters on monday and the whole thing yesterday.
The TEAM SINGAPORE dragon boaters went to Cambodia for a dragon boat race, didn't managed to know that there is going to be a whirlpool there anytime at that area. It was mentioned that they were told about the whirlpool but the survivors said that they did not recieved the warning. How can human be so careless? This is something that we humans should improve on it. Maybe the dragon boaters may be fully safe now if they knew about the whirlpool warning and nothing of this would have happened. And, i was alos told that the dragon boaters did not wore any live jackets.
It's just such a pity that the boat crashed into the platform and capsized and ... cost the 5 out of 22 boaters to actually sacrificed their lives. I almost cried when i was reading the newspapers yesterday, getting to know that they died so innocently. It does not only affect them but also their dearest families. Their still so young & having a bright future and yet they have to end their lives in such a sorry state. They fell into the river after the boat capsized and the 5 of them were pushed into the pontoon- the size of a basketball court. The rest were fortunately safe. The 5 bodies were found until Monday Mornings.
Can you imagine the team spirit of the 22 dragon boaters? And, they have to suffer the fate of losing 5 of their very very good pals? It's just so ... ...
Still, i would have to say that it's an accident. Nobody would want this to happen. All we can do is to hope the 5 can have a good life in the netherlands and the other 17 can cherish their lives more preciously.
